1. Introduction

Cliquidity means Cognadev Chemistry Limited (the Company), a private company incorporated in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, with company registration number 7689817 and whose registered office is at 2 Jardine House, Harrovian Business Village, Bessborough Road, Harrow, Middlesex, ("we" or "us" or "our") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be used, stored and processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it.

We will take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to, or disclosure of your personal information. However, we do not guarantee that your personal information shall be 100% secure.

The Cliquidity website operates under the general principle that we will not breach a user's anonymity using information collected by us, until they accept an introduction request. By default, on the Cliquidity website, people can view your biographical information and your Personality information (direct and/ or deduced) collected via our assessments, through Match Reports which include your alias but not your name or email address. You may restrict some further detail as described in paragraph 5.

We do not guarantee that your identity will remain private.

We never collect your exact GPS location, but we do collect your approximate location, accurate to within a few kilometres, at city/suburb level.

We will never provide your psychometric assessment results to anyone. We will, however, provide an anonymous match report, which may contain biographical and Personality information from your assessments, but will not contain your name or email address.

We will never send you marketing email on behalf of another company without your permission.

We will never provide your name or email address to anyone, unless you have accepted a Cliquidity introduction request from that person.

By continuing to use this Website you agree that we may collect, collate, process and/or store your personal information ("Collect") for, amongst other things, (i) the purposes of providing you with access to any service which the Company offers (the Services); Website and the Content; and (ii) for any of the purposes listed at paragraph 3.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not continue to use the Website and/or the Services.

2. What types of personal information do we Collect?

The types of personal information that we may collect may include (amongst other things) your name, e-mail, contact information, ethnic or social origin, age, views or preferences, the results of psychometric assessments and a record of the pages of the Website viewed by you.

3. When will we Collect information about you?

Personal information may be Collected by us when you:

  • Register to make use of the Services on the Website and includes when you sign in either privately or using Facebook or Twitter;
  • Complete an Assessment;
  • Save Searches or add to users to your Circles;
  • Register for Paid Services;
  • Request or accept Introductions;
  • Make use of the Services;
  • Browse the Website or
  • When we carry out demographic research.
By signing up with Facebook or Twitter, you grant us the permission to Collect and use the following information on your social network account:

  • Basic information;
  • Email address;
  • Location; and
  • Friends.

If you sign up with Facebook or Twitter, we automatically upload your profile picture from the respective social network onto our Website. Currently this picture is not visible to other users unless they are connected to you on Facebook and/ or Twitter and view your profile using the Explore function. Should we change the visibility of your picture to other users, we will notify you first and allow you to change the picture or to limit its visibility.

We may also Collect and disclose specific information provided by you depending on the nature of the Services. This includes if you use the Search or Explore functionalities, or when you request a Match Report or an Introduction. We set out further information on what information may be Collected and how you can manage the Collection of such information below:

  • The Search functionality: When using the Search functionality, users can view "Search Details" for other users who match their search criteria. Depending on the user's profile settings, the following information is displayed when viewing "Details" of search results (unless visibility was restricted using the privacy settings in accordance with paragraph 5 below): alias; gender; age range; location; education; and direct or deduced information from your assessments.
  • Match Reports: Users can view "Match Reports" for other users. These reports may include details given in, or deduced from your assessments (unless visibility was restricted using the privacy settings in accordance with paragraph 5 below).
  • Introductions: You can prevent other users from requesting Introductions on your preferences page. If you accept an Introduction request, the requesting user will receive an email containing your name and surname as well as your email address.

4. How can you update your personal information?

You can update your alias, name and surname, email address, password and location by clicking on your user tab and selecting "My Preferences". Your alias will be visible when you appear in search results. If you wish to remain anonymous it is your responsibility to create an alias, which facilitates this anonymity.

Once signed up you can add/edit your location by selecting "My Preferences" from your user tab when you are on the Website. Your location may be specified up to a suburb level. You may not specify an exact location.

If you change your email address we will have to verify the new email address. Until the new email address has been verified, the old email address will remain in force and effect.

You can update your biographical information and your self-descriptors (and their sub-descriptors) by clicking on "Assessments" and selecting "Modify Personality Assessment" on the Website. You can make these changes as often as you deem necessary free of charge.

You can update your life, work and relationship metaphors, their ranking, your control and your satisfaction by clicking on "Assessments" and selecting "Modify Motivation Assessment". These changes will be free of charge until we notify you further in accordance with the Website Terms.

You can manage saved searches by clicking on your user tab and selecting "Saved Searches". From this page you can view, search, rename or delete a Search.

You can manage saved circles by clicking on your user tab and selecting "Saved Searches" or by selecting "My Circles" from your user tab. From these pages you can "View" the Cliquidity members in each circle, rename or delete the circle.

5. How do you limit the visibility of your personal information?

You can limit the visibility of certain biographical information by selecting the preferences page.

You may also limit the information you do not want to disclose in your Assessments by disclosing "Not Important" under the relevant field of the Assessment. Even though we encourage you to manage your privacy as you please, we would recommend completing and disclosing as much information as you are comfortable with as this will aid in matching you with users you may cliq with.

6. When do we share your personal information to third parties?

While we will attempt not to disclose any of your personal information to third parties, except when we have your permission in terms of this Privacy Policy or for purposes of our legitimate business interests, we do not guarantee that your personal information will not be shared with third parties without your permission.

You agree that your information may be used as anonymised aggregate personal information, and may be shared under the following circumstances:

  • To our holding companies, subsidiary companies, agents, advisers, service providers and suppliers;
  • To monitor web traffic: web servers serving the Website automatically collect information about pages you visit. This information is used for internal review, to tailor information to individual visitors and for traffic audits. This information (as well as information from third-party market researchers), on an aggregated, anonymous basis, is provided to advertisers advertising on the Website. Should you provide personal information online as part of an online advertising promotion or in order to access a third party service, such information may be provided directly to the advertiser or the third party concerned;
  • Promotions: many promotions offer opportunities to request additional information from sponsors or third parties. When you request more information about a particular promotion, your e-mail address may be shared with the sponsor of that promotion;
  • For statistics and advertisement purposes: we may perform statistical analyses in order to measure interest in the various areas of the Website (for product development purposes) and to inform advertisers as to how many consumers have seen or "clicked" on their advertising banners. We may also use aggregated demographic information to allow advertising banners on the Website to be targeted, in aggregate.
  • Government and law enforcement agencies: where the law requires that we disclose your personal information to a party, and where we have reason to believe that a disclosure of personal information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against a party who may be in breach of the Terms or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

7. Use of cookies

We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of the Website. We do not ordinarily link IP addresses to personal information, which means that your session may remain anonymous. However, we cannot guarantee that this will always be the case, as it may be necessary to identify a particular user when it is necessary to enforce compliance with the law or these Terms, or to protect our Website, its users or other interests.

Your personal information may be transferred to and/or stored on servers in any jurisdiction.

Any changes we may make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page .It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the most recent version of this Privacy Policy each time you access the Website.

11. The use of the Website by children

The Website is not targeted at children under the Age of Consent in your jurisdiction. We will not knowingly collect information from persons in such age groups. We encourage parents to talk to their children about the use of the Internet and information they disclose to websites.
